A day at school

The website A Day at School in Thailand describes a typical day at Sriwittayapaknam School from Samut Prakan in Thailand. It starts with the arrival of the students and then shows what they do before school starts. Assembly starts at 8 a.m. every morning and then the students go up to their classrooms. The students have one break in the morning and one in the afternoon. Lunch is eaten in the classrooms before the students head down to the playground. At 3.15 p.m. the duty students have to clean their classroom. On Friday afternoons, the students take part in Buddhist chanting before going home.

This month, RIS has celebrated its 50th anniversary with an opening ceremony held at the old campus downtown, followed by an alumni homecoming, gala dinner, golf tournament, and car rally. The closing ceremony for the Jubilee celebrations will take place at the present campus in May 2008.
